Growing Old

Growing Old is for BODY-BUILDERS as you see ! But here we make a choice. (If we are FOR choice.) The question with eternal consequences is: WHOSE Body do we build?

Growing old keeps us young as body-builders of that Body of which Jesus is the Head. We are members. And as each has received a gift we use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace. (I Peter 4:10 ESV.)

Growing old is not for sissies but for those who are Body Builders with Spiritual Muscle, lifting heavy loads. They are Givers of their time, Givers of their Talents, Givers of their Money, Givers with open homes because of their open hearts.

Growing old is not for sissies but for Builders who are out to experience the Adventure of Obedience in Following Jesus in private and in public, at home and in their work-environment.

Growing old gives me a tickle when I look back and recall how marvelously God has used so many of our friends to bless me and our family as well.

Growing Old is Never Dull when our vision keeps us in suspense about tomorrow’s opportunities.

Growing old is not for sissies when grand children’s children are photogenic and mirror your own humor. Just read it for your self: Psalm 33 each verse of it.
